5-DAY ITINERARY TO QUEEN ELIZABETH AND BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARKS.

 
Day 1:

Depart from Kampala at 8.00 am and head for Western Uganda. On the way don’t miss the drum-making site, the Equator, the long horned Ankole cattle and much more. You will have a lunch break at Mbarara after which you continue to Queen Elizabeth national park. Dinner & over night Mweya lodge

 
Day 2:

Wake up and be ready to go on a game drive at 7.00 a.m. The park in addition to its scenic beauty is horst to diversity of animals like buffalos, lions, Elephants, Warthogs, Uganda kob and lots of bird life. Return to the hostel for late morning for breakfast. After lunch, take an afternoon boat over the Kazinga channel. You will see lots of hippos, water birds and so on.  Dinner /overnight, Mweya lodge.

 
Day 3:

Set off for Bwindi national park after breakfast. You will have a lunch break on the way. Dinner and over night Mantana Camp.

 
Day 4:

Wake early and drive to the Park offices. Here you will be briefed, and together with the guides start on your adventure to trek the gorillas. You will be one hour in their presence. Dinner and over night Mantana Camp

 
Day 5:

Drive back to Kampala after breakfast. You will carry a picnic lunch to have on the way. Arrive in Kampala late afternoon.

8-DAY ITINERARY TO L.MBURO, QUEEN ELIZABETH AND KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARKS.

 

Day 1.

Depart from Kampala at 8.00 am and head for Western Uganda. On the way don’t miss the drum-making site, the Equator, the long horned Ankole cattle and much more. Have a stop at Mbarara for lunch. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth Park. Dinner and over night ,Mweya safari lodge.

 

Day 2.

Wake up and be ready to go on a game drive at 7.00 a.m. The park in addition to its scenic beauty is horst to diversity of animals like buffalos, lions, Elephants, Warthogs, Uganda kob and lots of bird life. Return to the hostel for late morning for breakfast. . In the afternoon take a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The Channel has a lot to offer including hippos, Crocodiles, plenty of birds and much more. Dinner & over night Mweya safari lodge

 

Day 3.

This morning after breakfast you will drive to the crater lakes region.  The outstanding scenery around the crater track brings visitors to the volcanic lakes at the foot hills of the Misty Mountains of the moon. From there continue to Kibale forest national park.Tea and coffee plantations and Wild vegetation make up the scenery on the drive to Kibale. You may have your picnic lunch at a spot of your choice. Dinner and overnight Ndali Lodge.

 

Day 4.

On this day you will go into the forest to visit the Chimps. After reporting at the Wildlife offices and getting all payments done, together with the guides, off you go into the forest. Covering 766 sq kms, Kibale is wet, unique moist forest habitat, with extremely high diversity of animals and plants.

 

This mature tropical rainforest supports the highest number of primate species in Uganda, and one of the highest primate densities in the world. There are 12 species of primates locate here: red colobus monkey, black and white colobus monkey, redtail monkey, L’hoest’s monkey, mangabey, olive baboons and several communities of chimpanzee. About 400 species of birds have been reported in Kibale. A number of these species are found only in this park. In addition, over 150 species of butterflies and a large number of moths can be discovered here.

 

Return to the lodge after tracking. In the afternoon you may take a short walk to the surrounding villages. Return to the lodge for dinner and over night.

 

Day 5.

Proceed on a 7 hours drive to Murchison Falls National Park through Kyenjojo, Hoima, and Masindi. Over night at Paraa Lodge.

 

Day 6.

Early morning game drive (get up at 0500) via naymsika Plateau, you will see elephants, Lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hartebeest and many more. After lunch proceed for a boat trip on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the Falls. En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buck and a wide variety of birds like the unusual shoebill stork.  The boat stops just ten of metres from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Paraa Safari lodge.

 

Day 7.

Depart after breakfast to the spectacularly situated site at the top of the Falls, where you can see the Nile’s beauty perfected. Marvel at the Nile, compressing from 50 metres to squeeze through a 6 metre canyon dropping 40 metres with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow, a plume of spray and the best thing that happened to the Nile….”Murchison Falls.

Proceed to Kampala arriving in the evening. Check into, Emin Pasha Hotel.

 

Day 8.

Air port transfers.

MWEYA SAFARI LODGE

Located on a peninsula within the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park, Mweya safari lodge often referred to as “The Pearl in the Park”. To the west are magical, three spiked mountain ranges of the Rwenzoris, aptly described as the “Mountains of the Moon”. To the east are the spectacular high raised Rift Valley hills. Cross over the meandering Kazinga channel, which connects two giant rift valley lakes, Edward and George. It is a stunning luxury resort where the British Queen Mother lodged in 1954. Mweya safari lodge is only 45minutes flight from Entebbe and 420 km from Kampala, via Mbarara. NDALI LODGE

Ndali Lodge is set stunningly amidst the Bunyaruguru crater lake region of Western Uganda,  24 kilometres south of Fort Portal. It lies at the center of a 1000 acres of privately owned fertile farmland, which is cultivated in traditional African style. Ndali Lodge is perched on the ridge of the 250acre Lake Nyinambuga, lying almost 300 feet below. There is a main thatched lodge with spacious sitting room, reception area and dining room flanked by 8 cottages providing luxurious accommodation for 16 guests.  The cottages, face west over a panoramic view to the spectacular “Mountains of the Moon”. Each cottage, large enough to accommodate a family, has en suite facilities with bath, shower, WC and hand basin, with a private veranda, perfect for watching the sunset. PARAA SAFARI LODGE

Situated in the majestic Murchison falls, the largest game reserve in Uganda, Paraa safari lodge is perched atop a gorge, towering above the mighty Nile River and enjoys a pleasant tropical climate. First opened in 1950’s Paraa safari lodge commonly known as “The Jewel of the Nile” has played host to countless distinguished guests, including the British queen mother and one of the great latter-day adventures, Ernest Hemingway, who crashed his plane in the area, in the 1950’s.

 

Paraa safari lodge is only an hour flight from Entebbe airport. It takes about 5 hours to drive the 352 km from Kampala, via Masindi. A wide range of credit cards is accepted at the lodge and Bureau De Change services available, removing the need to carry cash, Enjoy some refreshments near the water at the White Nile pool bar or relax on the verandah of the explorer’s bar. After drinks, enjoy a meal at the captain’s table restaurant.

DAY ONE:

Our driver guide will pick you from your hotel at 7.30. am and off you start on your trip from Kampala to southwestern Uganda.  You will drive through Savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long curving horns. Ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the “Switzerland of Africa”, with terraced farming and mountain scenery. You will have a lunch break at White Horse Regency Hotel. Drive through to Bwindi. Dinner and overnight.

 
DAY TWO:

After an early breakfast, armed with your picnic lunch, and a briefing from the warden, you will be escorted by ranger guides to the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular. The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access tourists. The time taken and the terrain varies with the movements of these great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored. Many find it to be a rare and moving opportunity.  Dine and overnight

 
DAY THREE:

Sadly return to Kampala with great memories of moments spent with the fascinating Mountain Gorillas. You will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch. You will be dropped off at your hotel late evening.

Visit the forest this morning to enjoy what you missed the day before. The nature walk will take you a bout 3 hours. In the afternoon, continue to Lake bunyonyi, over night Bushara Island camp.

 

DAY FOUR

Leave Bushara after breakfast and head for Entebbe international airport. You will have a late lunch stop in Kampala. Continue to the airport for your home bound flight.
